Dry Stone Wall Building Workshop

Love the idea of your own dry stone wall?
Inspired by Andy Goldsworthy’s cairn sculptures?

If spending a hands-on day in fresh air sounds like you, then join Peta Seaton (a trained archaeologist) for a day of gentle stone building exercise in the Ashton Park paddock.

It’s just stones + gravity.  What could go wrong!

Here’s what we have in store>>

  • Learn in a day, the lessons Peta has learned during her archaeology training and years of dry stone wall building
  • Keep up your strength with a fortifying morning and afternoon tea
  • Enjoy a delicious Barn lunch
  • And finish the day with a beer, an elderflower ‘Hedge’ or gin and tonic as you admire your contribution to help build the ‘Great Wall of Moss Vale’ (affectionately named by the locals).

Friday 31 August, 2018
Time: 10am – 4pm
Location: Ashton Park Paddock

Class Fee includes all materials (stones, band-aids, gloves and gravity) plus morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

Cost: A$130  per day (incl GST)

To book or register interest, call 0427 203 402 or click the button below to email.

WET WEATHER; It’s not much fun in wet weather!  We will decide the day before if the weather looks dodgy, and you can reschedule or be refunded if it’s too wet.

I had a ball. And I’ve managed to avoid months – maybe even years – of trial and error to build my own dry stone wall.

Thanks Peta!
