Elderflower Sparkling Wine & Kombucha Workshop
We’ll start with some foraging fun in Ashton Park’s bountiful kitchen garden. We’ll collect citrus, botanicals and herbs to revive the ancient artisanal drinks of Elderflower sparkling wild wine, Ratafia and learn the secrets of successful Kombucha scoby production for great health.
A native British hedgerow plant, the Elderflower produces beautiful white blossoms that imbude a delicious floral aroma and flavour to anything they are used in. Perfect for making elderflower sparkling wine!
Ratafia is a traditional Catalan (Southern Spain) liqueur dating back more than a thousand years but still also popular in France, Italy. This liqueur is made from tender walnuts mixed with various aromatic plants – perfect with the beautiful lemon peel and bontanicals from the Ashton Park kitchen garden.
Learn the technique for successful Kombucha-making and of course learn how great Komucha should taste.
You’ll find out what not to do which of course is as important as what to do – to ensure your Kombucha scoby works every time. And if you have any questions – Gillian is guaranteed to have the answer.
